Whirl-Jack is the duo of Michael Gallagher and Dave Holland. Formerly of Galway post-punk band Snowblindwaltz, the two decided to continue collaborating after Dave moved to Gran Canaria.
Song writing usually starts with a simple riff sent by email, returned with added bits, many more emails on the merits of the bits added, compromise reached eventually, more bits added, more arguments, so on, so forth. It can be quite a lengthy process and probably explains why it’s best that we are 2,000 miles apart. Isn’t technology marvellous!
