Semi Detached to the Flats marks Reylta out as an impressive new Galway artist

Reylta is a folk artist from north Galway now based in Dublin, with influences including Damien Rice Florence and The Machine, Hozier and mitski. Semi Detached to the Flats is a tribute to her new home in Dublin city and the inner glow of the ordinary.

The song is all about home. Not as a physical place needing landmarks and people to protect you but more a feeling of home as an energy we inherit overtime and I wanted to celebrate that. I wanted to draw attention to the beauty in mundane moments of life: waiting at the bus stops, a walk home from the shop and hidden gems in scary places.
