Foolish Mortal

Foolish Mortal have released the perfect garage-rock Halloween hit in Ghost Wipe

Following the release of their excellent debut album last year, Cork garage three-piece Foolish Mortal are back with the Halloween-themed hit Ghost Wipe. The band, started by prolific songwriting talent Laurie Shaw and featuring Mark Waldron-Hyden on drums and Dan O’Sullivan on bass, have created a fuzzy fizzy two-minute tour-de-force with Shaw adopting his classic delay-laden mortal howls and hiccups. The perfect garage-rock Halloween hit for these times, the song concerns the behaviour of a love rival who sucks the life essence from his partners – “Ectoplasm sleight/ Anchored down in your chasm right/ Next he’s binning your bones/ On the coast by your parents’ home”.
