In a time of separation, Limerick’s DIY LK music collective comes together to raise vital funds for the charity organisation Doras Luimní with the release of Bed Covers Compilation Vol. 1 featuring Anna’s Anchor, Bleeding Heart Pigeons, Casavettes, Cruiser, Hey Rusty, His Fathers Voice & Scenes.
The compilation features 7 randomly paired bands from Limerick’s burgeoning music scene covering each other’s work with the song choice left to the artist performing the covers. The tracks were then recorded remotely with whatever was at each musician’s disposal and Aisling McCallion created the artwork. Bed Covers Compilation Vol. 1 is a triumph of community spirit and a thoroughly good listen.
